US Soccer to Host Coaching Clinic in Cary April 10-11

Symposium to Feature U.S. MNT Coaches Discussing Preparations for 2006 FIFA World Cup; “A” Licensed Coaches Earn Two CEUs U.S. Soccer’s Coaching Department will hold a Coaching Symposium on April 10-11 in conjunction with the U.S. Men’s National Team game against Jamaica at SAS Soccer Park in Cary, N.C. “A” licensed coaches will earn two Continuing Education Units for attending the two-day symposium.

Speakers at the symposium include U.S. Soccer Staff Coach Juan Carlos Michia, as well as U.S. MNT assistant coaches Phil Wheddon, Glenn Myernick and Pierre Barrieu.

Cost for the symposium is $70 and includes a ticket to the game. Space at the symposium is limited and coaches are strongly encouraged to apply early. For coaches attending from out of town, a special rate of $85 per night has been secured at the Holiday Inn in Cary. Coaches must mention the coaching symposium to get the reduced rate. 4 p.m. Bruce Arena, U.S. MNT Manager Attend a MNT Training Session

Tuesday, April 11, 2006 9:30 a.m. Phil Wheddon, U.S. MNT Goalkeeper Coach MNT goalkeepers’ preparation for 2006 FIFA World Cup

10:30 a.m. Pierre Barrieu, U.S. MNT Strength and Conditioning Coach MNT players’ physical preparation for 2006 FIFA World Cup

11:30 a.m. Elmar Bolowich, North Carolina Head coach Players going from college to the U.S Under-20 Men’s National Team
