Two Raleigh Elite Players Selected in USL-1 College Draft

Raleigh Elite players John Queely and Aaron King (both of NC State) were selected today in the USL 1st Division College Draft. King was taken 15th by Virginia Beach while Queely was picked 19th by Puerto Rico. The selection of King may prove largely symbolic as Va Beach is gambling that King's selection as the last pick of the MLS Draft by LA Galaxy may not lead to his signing with the league. The highest player taken in the draft with links to the Triangle area was Duke's Danny Kramer who was selected as the 5th overall pick by the Rochester Rhinos.
