MLS Combine -- Day One Notes

Buzz Carrick over at 3rd Degree is out in California at the MLS Combine. He has a pretty detailed review of action from the first day along with some pictures. Here are his notes on players with links to the Triangle area: Aaron King (NCSU) is very quick. He's got serious speed. MLS speed. Like Sealy last year he catches your attention as he blows by the defender on the way to goal. MLS should sign him so he doesn't go to Norway. Blake Camp (Duke) has real nice feet and ball composure for a big guy, hell even for a short guy. I would like to see him lift his pace of play and ball movement. Not his running, just how quickly he moves the ball. Today I am reminded of Matt McKeon with better feet. John Queeley (NCSU) I barley noticed. He needs to get himself more involved in the game as he's a guy that could use a combine splash. Dax McCarty (UNC) is very composed and classy in midfield, and he's only 18. Danny Kramer (Duke) was exactly the player I recall from Duke, good work rate and energy out wide. He will help someone's reserve team.
