2005 NCAA Men's Attendance Figures

The best attended men's college soccer game this season was the Clemson v. New Mexico College Cup Semifinal played at SAS Soccer Park in Cary. The game drew 8,645 spectators -- over 1,700 more than showed up 2 days later to see Maryland capture the College Cup title over New Mexico. Duke was fifth in NCAA Division 1 for average season attendance with 1,855 spectators per game. UNC followed at 1,238 per game for 13th best in Division I while NCSU was 27th with an average of 900 per game. It looks like USL has a strong regional base of about 4,000 men's college fans to work with from the start if they can tap into the collegiate markets.
